Caramel Apple Empanadas


Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
Pinch salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter chilled and cubed
1/2 cup cold water

Instructions:
  • First. In a food processor fitted with a dough blade or a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Step 2, Pulse in the cubed butter or cut in using a pastry blender or your fingers to create a crumbly texture with no pieces larger than a pea.
  • Step three, Mix in enough water just to bring together the pieces and create a smooth dough. Form the dough into a disc, wrap in plastic and refrigerate while you prepare the filling.
